Our September luncheon at Angelica’s was truly special. Members gathered for an afternoon filled with good food, lively conversation, and a fascinating program. The highlight of the day was guest speaker Mark Lucchesi, who brought his energy and enthusiasm to share with us the story behind his popular podcast series.
Mark gave us an inside look at the journey that led him to the microphone, describing how his career in the grocery business sparked his passion for connecting with people. His podcast, “Mark at the Mic!”, features interviews with local professionals and community leaders who share their stories, challenges, and inspirations. Members were captivated by his engaging presentation, and many commented on how enjoyable it was to hear firsthand how these conversations come together.
If you couldn’t attend in person, you can still be part of the experience. Tune into “Mark at the Mic!” and explore the many episodes already available. It's a wonderful way to connect with voices and ideas from across our community. One of our members, Mariko Jesse, was recently interviewed on the podcast. Check it out in a few weeks when it will be available to listen to! We extend a heartfelt thank you to Mark for taking the time to be with us, and to all who joined us at Angelica’s for making the luncheon such a warm and memorable afternoon.
As we turn the page to Fall, we are already looking forward to our November luncheon, which will be held at Sapore Italiano Restaurant. This has long been one of our favorite local dining spots, known for its inviting atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine. It’s the perfect setting for members to come together, enjoy a wonderful meal, and continue to strengthen the sense of community that makes BHNC so special.
We encourage you to save the date and plan to join us. It promises to be another afternoon of delicious food, good company, and engaging conversation. Whether you’re a regular attendee or joining us for the first time, our luncheons are a great way to connect with neighbors and friends in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Lastly, please note that there will be NO additional charges for using PayPal on our website to pay for the luncheons, as previously mentioned in the September Newsletter.
As always in friendship,
Linda Citron
President, BHNC
