Happy New Year! As we welcome 2026, we’re looking forward to gathering again for our February luncheon at one of our favorite restaurants, Divino. With its inviting atmosphere and delicious menu, it is a wonderful place to enjoy good food, lively conversation, and time together with friends. We look forward to another relaxed and delightful afternoon with our BHNC community. We are also pleased to share that our very own BHNC member Mariko Jesse will be presenting at the luncheon. Mariko is an award-winning illustrator and printmaker and will discuss her artwork, her career to date, and how moving to the Bay Area has influenced her work, focusing on several projects she has completed in Burlingame. We look forward to her presentation! As we move through this year, I hope you are taking advantage of the many activities listed in the newsletter. Participating in BHNC activities is a wonderful way to connect and truly get to know our fabulous members, especially through our smaller group gatherings. Consider Bocce, Exploring Food with Friends, Book Review, Hiking, Mah Jongg, or any other activity that sparks your interest. And if you have an idea for a new activity you’d like to start, please contact our Activities Chair, Carol Batte, who will be happy to help you get started. As a reminder, the BHNC Board is looking ahead and welcoming interest from members who may wish to serve on the Board for the coming year. If you have ideas, energy, or would like to learn more about getting involved, we would love to hear from you.
In friendship,
Linda
President, BHNC
